Bedtime Rituals and New Friends!

Getting two children bathed and ready for bed can sometimes be hectic around here. I think if we don't put our kids down at a specific time, they both get a second wind, and then are recharged for more fun!

Lately, we've been checking out books from the local library and reading them to the kids at bedtime. Gracie Myers has a love for books, but we have to watch her...she tends to like to tear the pages!

This past Valentine's Day, Meme and Pops gave Paxson the movie Toy Story, and he fell in love with Buzz Lightyear and Woody! Unfortunately, I have had a difficult time tracking down these two toys, the only ones I can seem to find are pretty pricey online. We happened to stop by a church yard sale today, and to our surprise, we found both a Buzz Lightyear and Woody doll in the $1.00 bin! Paxson was thrilled, and so was my wallet! For the rest of the day, Paxson treated these two new friends like royalty...they sat at the table during meals, read books with him, went on our family walk, and even found a special place in his bed!
