Happy Birthday Meme!

This morning I took a digital camera class from a very talented local photographer! Her work is amazing, so I thought I'd try to pick-up a few tips. Our goal was to become comfortable using the manual setting on our camera, which was tricky for me as to get a clear picture, the subject needs to be relatively still. Here are a few of my first shots, I still have some serious practice sessions ahead of me!

More Big Changes!

Gracie Myers is so full of life and natural curiosity! She's made the move from the highchair into a booster seat, so now she is able to eat with us at the table. She seems to enjoy this new part of becoming more of a toddler and less of a baby. One of her new favorite things to do, is to go into the bathroom, open a drawer and then close the door, so she blocks herself in. What a mischief maker! :)

Circus Fun!

A group of friends from our church went to the circus tonight! We had a wonderful time riding the Light Rail uptown, it was quite an adventure! During the pre-show, Paxson got to interact with circus performers and even try on circus outfits! Our seats were amazing, it was truly a night to remember!

Pops and Paxson got popcorn as soon as we made it into the arena.

Backyard Fun!

It was a dreary Saturday, but it didn't keep us from going outdoors! There were plenty of leaves, or "leave-us" as Paxson calls them to be raked!

Mommy turns 33 and Gracie Myers is 17 Months Old!

Let the blogging begin again! I know I have been incredibly slow with updating our blog, but with great reason! Since last June, I have been completing a portfolio to submit for my National Boards for Teaching. It has been incredibly time consuming and difficult, but I mailed my portfolio to TX last week! What a huge relief to have that sent in! I still have an exam to take and won't find out if I passed everything until November or December, but at least the bulk of it is behind me! We've had a lot going on in our lives, so my plan is to post lots of pictures this week, so stay tuned!

On January 23rd, our family celebrated my 33rd Birthday! It was great having our family here to celebrate!

Good thing we had two #3 candles leftover from Paxson's 3rd birthday in August....Bill is always resourceful... :)

Snow Day 2009!

What a fun surprise to wake-up to snow! Both kids were really excited to get bundled up to play in the snow! Unfortunately, our fun was short-lived because Gracie Myers had a hard time walking around in a pair of Paxson's old shoes! Maybe we will have more snow later this year!

Leaning On My Big Brother!

Happy 2009! Our kids decided to play outside while Daddy was doing yard work, and Gracie Myers found herself stuck in a pile of wet leaves! Good thing big brother Paxson was there to help her out!
