While in Charlotte for the week, Uncle FC spent most of his time checking out his former town. He was amazed at how the current Charlotte is much different than "his Charlotte". As a retired military officer, he has lived in many places, but has always considered Charlotte home.
One of the highlights of my time week, was getting to sit down with him and create a video recorded interview with him. For me, it was like listening to a history tape and he gave me so much information about family members that were deceased. I especially enjoyed the stories he shared about my own grandfather. These tapes will be cherished for many years to come!

Earlier today, Bill brought the kids over to see Uncle FC, but I wanted to see him again after work. Bill left for Las Vegas this afternoon so he couldn't join us this evening. I mentioned in my last posting that Uncle FC was independent, but I might have failed to mention how quick and strong he is! He had no trouble keeping up with Paxson and Gracie Myers. I hate that I didn't get pictures of he and Paxson playing together. Uncle FC thought it was hilarious to hold Paxson by his feet and have him to the wheelbarrow walk! Paxson was quite impressed with his new playmate, and Gracie Myers warmed up to him quickly too!

Paxson was pretty impressed with Uncle FC's hearing-aids...Paxson called them his "hearers".Paxson has very blue eyes which look a lot like his Bops, but it was neat to see that Uncle FC has the same blue eyes too!
Uncle FC wanted to help Gracie Myers walk.
She didn't want to let go!
